VBS REGISTRATION IS HAPPENING NOW!

At Sky VBS, kids discover everything is possible with God—a fact that will change them forever!  Join us for this exciting week, June 25-29. Grace Prayer Vigil

January 27, 2012

On the last day that Jesus was on earth, he told the disciples to stay in Jerusalem and to wait for “the promise of the Father.” Following His ascension into heaven, His disciples acted on His instruction – but it was not a passive waiting. They sought God zealously, their hearts aligned, and in “one mind” concerning the promise about the coming Spirit of God. They waited by praying earnestly for ten days.

Christ is again calling His church to unite in prayer. Today the community of Grace is entering a 10 day period of prayer. Everyone is invited to stop whatever you are doing each day at 7 am and 7 pm and pray for our church family. While we hope that EVERYONE will be praying, some of you have committed to be the “prayer person” for a specific day. Below is the list. I am excited to see what God will do as we pray as one family!

Acts 2 says "that when the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place."

We will be ALL TOGETHER IN ONE PLACE as we celebrate Pentecost at Grace. We will have ONE WORSHIP SERVICE AT 10 AM, followed by a luncheon. Be sure to wear RED (the color of Pentecost) and join us! Sunday School classes will NOT meet on this Sunday.



Pastor Nancy will be preaching from Acts 2:1-21. We will celebrate the sacrament of communion, welcome a new member, and ordain two new elders. It will be a day of celebration!
